It’s been a busy year for the nation’s favourite diva, Gemma Collins, but she isn't about to slow down anytime soon. Speaking exclusively to OK!, the former TOWIE star has spilled the beans on her hopes for the rest of 2022 and, perhaps surprisingly, revealed why fronting a gardening programme is top of her to-do list. Earlier this year, Gemma unveiled her love of all things nature as she joined the BBC Springwatch team in Wild Ken Hill, Norfolk to celebrate and highlight some of the best of British wildlife as the season changed.
The annual show has been a staple of the BBC’s natural history slate since 2005, and this year’s edition even featured Gemma getting to take a closer look at some of the parenting habits of Dunnocks, a type of small perching bird. In our interview, Gemma admits that while she'd love to branch out (pun intended) and host her own nature show, she often faces "snobbery" in the entertainment industry. “There’s still so much snobbery. There’s a real snobbery that ‘oh you’re a reality star’, so we’re going to put you in that box,” explained Gemma.
“I ain’t a reality star darling, I’m a megastar. I have smashed it with everything I’ve done and they can’t keep pigeonholing me forever. I’m a very successful woman.” Beaming with pride at the memory of her time on the show, she said: “It was such an honour to work with Chris Packham and the guys on the BBC Springwatch.
