Gemma Collins says she nearly landed in hospital after collapsing with mystery illness

After sparking concern with being hooked up to a drip twice within days, Gemma Collins has given an update on her health in an exclusive chat with OK! magazine.The former TOWIE star, 41, has had a rough time as of late with her PCOS and battle with an under active thyroid. And last week, things took a turn for the worse as she came down with a mystery illness that left her feeling "really unwell". While she's maintained a positive attitude and ploughed on with her busy schedule of work filming More Than Daffs and Taffs in Wales, the reality star told OK! that her fiancé Rami Hawash was nearly forced to rush her to hospital after she collapsed on Saturday 6 August.
During a chat about Aussie's new deep moisture campaign, Gemma explained: "I have been so ill I cannot tell you. My workload has been a lot, but I've had a virus. I've been really, really, really unwell.
I literally had to film up in Wales and I was very unwell. "I had to call the doctor out and the doctor said to me, 'Look I'm going to give you medicine but I actually think this is a virus and it's not going to work.'" The former Celebrity Big Brother star first began feeling ill at the start of August, but did her best to push it to one side in order to get through her work commitments. But "this time my body was having none of it" Gemma explained, adding: "Basically I've been on drips.
Rami nearly had to take me to the hospital on Saturday night because I was collapsing on the floor. "Literally, it was really really bad whatever I've had, it's been awful."
