Doting mum Gemma Atkinson has clapped back at mum-shaming trolls who criticised how she is raising her daughter Mia on social media. The 38 year old star, who recently became a mum for a second time with baby Thiago, received an unsolicited message on Instagram that questioned whether allowing her daughter Mia to watch certain kinds of programmes on TV was healthy.
The saga all started when Gemma shared an adorable picture of Mia pretending she was “stood on the podium of the CrossFit games”. In the sweet snap, Mia could be seen with her arms held high and a blanket held behind her like a makeshift flag as she revelled in the awe of such an impressive sporting achievement, that she must have seen on screen or from being near her sport-loving mum.
While many parents would no doubt be thrilled to see their child so enthusiastic about sport, one disgruntled fan reached out to Gemma to condemn her for encouraging Mia. “Are you not afraid that you are doing to make her body conscious watching all that tv?” Wrote the fan.They then continued:“…she should be watching kids programmes.
