A few years back, the trades made an exciting announcement: Mexican filmmaker Issa Lopez and Barry Jenkins had teamed up for a new take on HBO’s top-shelf franchise, “True Detective,” a series that had been dormant for a few years because its creator Nic Pizzolatto had essentially hit a wall with HBO, creative differences and whatnot. Nic Pizzolatto eventually parted ways with HBO; they kept the brand and were eager to revive it.

Their relationship, however, escalates into a revenge story as they face dangerous threats from Jackie’s criminal father.Other cast members include Ed Harris (Westworld) as Lou’s father, Jena Malone (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), Anna Baryshnikov and Dave Franco (The Disaster Artist).Love Lies Bleeding is co-written by Glass and Weronika Tofilska, with Andrea Cornwell and Oliver Kassman serving as producers.It marks director Glass’s second film following her breakout feature debut Saint Maud, which was nominated for two awards at the BAFTAs in 2021.In a five-star review of Saint Maud, NME described Glass as a “must-watch filmmaker” who “could well prove to be a defining voice in the future of British horror”.Love Lies Bleeding is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2024.

The trailer for True Detective: Night Country has finally arrived!

It’s been four years since “True Detective” aired on HBO, but the series returns for a fourth season, subtitled ‘Night Country’ on January 14, 2024. Creator Nic Pizzolatto couldn’t come to terms with HBO on the direction for a fourth season after season three and then parted ways with the cable channel.

Singer and actress Molly Rainford has opened up to OK! about her romance with fellow Strictly Come Dancing star Tyler West, revealing that their relationship didn’t start how “everyone thinks” it did. Molly, 23, rose to fame at the young age of 11, and since then she has gone on to show she is not only amazing at singing and acting, but also dancing - after finishing as a runner-up in last year's Strictly. After first meeting Tyler when they both featured as dance contestants on the BBC show, they are now in a blossoming relationship - which she's explained actually started out as just friends.
