A former Blue Angels flight leader issued a response Tuesday to a San Francisco Democrat who suggested banning the historic Navy air squadron, inviting him to come see the show for himself.  Captain Eric Doyle joined "Fox & Friends First" to discuss his reaction to the suggestion and the broader theme surrounding the fighter jet demonstration.  "I think he should come join us at Fleet Week and see some of his constituents," Doyle told co-host Carley Shimkus. "Fleet Week is one of the best air shows of the season.

A San Francisco city council member who suggested that the Blue Angels should be banned from the city’s airspace expressed his frustration Sunday about outside criticism of the city and its policies.  District 5 Supervisor Dean Preston, a self-described Democratic socialist, asked why so many outside San Francisco – with no connection to the Bay Area – are "so focused on San Francisco housing policy and constantly attacking SF tenants, BIPOC residents, and progressive local elected officials? EJ Panaligan editor 20th Century Studios has announced the ensemble cast of “A Haunting in Venice,” director Kenneth Branagh’s third effort in the Hercule Poirot films based on Agatha Christie novels. The new ensemble behind the supernatural thriller film is headlined by Branagh reprising his role as Poirot, with Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan, Michelle Yeoh, Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, Kelly Reilly and Riccardo Scamarico rounding out the cast. Set in post-WWII Venice on All Hallows’ Eve, the film follows another mystery featuring the celebrated sleuth Poirot. Inspired by Christie’s “Hallowe’en Party,” the now retired and living in self-imposed exile Poirot reluctantly attends a séance at a haunted palazzo when one of the guests is murdered, and the former detective must once again find out who did it.

Branagh is set to reprise his role as Inspector Hercule Poirot and will also return to direct the pic. Michael Green adapted the script, which is based on Christie’s Hallowe’en Party, with production currently under way at Pinewood Studios outside of London.

Kenneth Branagh’s Hercule Poirot is returning to the screen for the third time, this round in a film called “A Haunting in Venice” based on an Agatha Christie mystery, 20th Century Studios announced Monday.Branagh, who will return to direct the franchise for the third time, has set a cast that includes Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan and Michelle Yeoh to star alongside his portrayal as the world class detective. “A Haunting in Venice” is inspired by Christie’s novel “Hallowe’en Party” from 1969.

The Blue Angels' scheduled show in San Francisco, California, for Fleet Week was canceled Sunday due to weather conditions, and a Democrat city council member suggested the planes not be permitted in the city's skies. District 5 Supervisor Dean Preston, a self-described Democratic socialist, said the planes should be banned from the city's airspace. "The Blue Angels should not be allowed to fly over San Francisco," he wrote on Twitter.

—or rather, it's more like an interpretation of the movie star's life. Based on a novel by Joyce Carol Oates, the film is a that mixes real life and fantasy. Of course, some of the biographical elements in the movie are based on fact—including her relationships with high-profile men like baseball star Joe DiMaggio, playwright Arthur Miller, and a president.

Lily Moayeri Gorillaz used their tour stop in Los Angeles not only to play a packed show at the city’s Kia Forum but also to hold a special advance listening session for their new album, the provocatively titled “Cracker Island,” set for release on February 24, 2023. Sir Kenneth Branagh's Boris Johnson transformation took three hours "a day". The 61-year-old star looks uncannily like the former British Prime Minister in Sky's political drama 'This Sceptred Isle'. However, it took a lot of work to get him to resemble him, with Branagh having to don a suit to bulk him up and a number of prosthetics.

Ethan Shanfeld As the Arctic Monkeys waltzed onstage at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre Thursday night, they were met with such rapturous applause and overwhelming screams that when Alex Turner sat at the piano and sang, “Don’t get emotional,” it was as if he was speaking directly to the audience. While the band opened the show with new single “There’d Better Be a Mirrorball,” which came out just a few weeks ago, the crowd embraced it like an old classic. As Turner sang the song’s title for the final time, in falsetto, a giant disco ball lowered from the ceiling and lit up the exuberant Kings Theatre.  To be clear: there’s good reason for the Monkeymania. Thursday’s show marked the band’s first headlining concert in the U.S. since 2018, and even though their seminal album “AM” came out nearly a decade ago (feel old?), the Tumblr-era thirst for Turner is still very much alive. The audience erupted in shouts at the frontman’s every move — cheering when he ditched his guitar for “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?,” when he hoisted the mic stand above his head during “Arabella” and, of course, when he snarled between songs, “How’s everybody doing,” in a British accent thicker than the bass tone on “Crying Lightning.”

Swedish House Mafia have debuted a new collaboration with Alicia Keys at a recent show in San Francisco.The producer trio — who were playing in the city as part of their ‘Paradise Again’ tour — enlisted Keys on stage, where she performed the as-yet unreleased song ‘Finally’. The track itself is a cover of the Kings of Tomorrow song of the same name, which featured the singer Julie McKnight.For their part, Swedish House Mafia and Keys bring an atmospheric touch to the 2000 original, pairing the singer’s R&B vocals with the trio’s trademark build-ups and bass drops.

Lise Pedersen Leading Dutch animation studio Submarine (“They Shot the Piano Player,” “Fox and Hare,” “Where is Anne Frank”) has presented its latest TV series project based on the bestselling Max children’s books at Europe’s industry event for TV series-in-the-making in the south-eastern French city of Toulouse. A pre-school series of 52 seven-minute episodes, “Max” is a character-driven show about a small kitten with a large appetite for adventure, who sees himself as a fearless predator but is just a little ball of fluff. The series will embrace the simple, clear and colourful 2D aesthetic of award-winning British author and illustrator Ed Vere to allow the viewer to focus on the characters.
