Singer Morganne Picard accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault in a new lawsuit filed in New York on Friday. Picard claimed Cosby used his "power, fame, and prestige" to sexually abuse the international performer. Her lawsuit also named Kaufman Astoria Studios, the Carsey-Werner Company and NBC Universal Media in the lawsuit.

News of the preliminary investigation was first reported in a bombshell investigative report published by French outlet Mediapart. The investigation cites four women, two of whom addressed a letter to the public prosecutor. The prosecutor’s spokesperson confirmed to Variety that a preliminary investigation was opened on July 5 on charges of alleged sexual assault and rape “after receiving three distinct complaints against Nicolas Bedos.”

The porter, however, later used a “traceable keycard” to enter her room and attack her.In the memoir, she also recalls how she took a drug to prevent HIV after the attack and later experienced side effects that made her too unwell to continue the show.

Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Jane Birkin, the beloved British-French actor and singer who spent most of her life in France and is known for a tumultuous relationship with French singer-songwriter Charles Gainsbourg, died on Sunday (July 16) at her home in Paris, according to Le Parisien newspaper. She was 76. No cause of death has yet been confirmed. Birkin was best known internationally for her steamy 1969 duet “Je t’aime… moi non plus” which she sang with Gainsbourg, one year after meeting him. Together, Birkin and Gainsbourg had a daughter, the actor and singer Charlotte Gainsbourg (“Melancholia,” “Nymphomaniac”).

Kevin Spacey denied that groping is his "trademark" pickup move during his second day of testimony in his criminal sexual assault trial taking place in London. The two-time Oscar winner stuck to his testimony from a day earlier in which he insisted he never sexually assaulted three of the four accusers who described encounters between 2001 and 2013.The acts allegedly escalated from unwanted touching to aggressive fondling to one instance of performing an oral sex act on an unconscious man. Spacey, 63, has pleaded not guilty to charges of sexual assault, indecent assault and causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.

Jimmie Allen is countersuing the two women who accused the country singer of sexual assault.In new court documents obtained by ET, Allen denied all allegations, claiming that one of the accusers defamed him and that the other took his cell phone without his permission.Allen responded to the lawsuits in the docs, filed in a Nashville federal court Thursday — the first case claims he repeatedly assaulted an unnamed «Jane Doe» on his management team, while the second claims he assaulted another woman in a Las Vegas hotel room and secretly recorded the encounter.In the case of Allen's former day-to-day manager, the «Down Home» singer's attorney's claim that she defamed him by making «deliberate, intentional, malicious, and willful» statements in  beyond what is included in the lawsuit. In the report published by the outlet in May, the woman claims that during a work trip to Los Angeles in March 2021, Allen allegedly raped her following his appearance as a celebrity guest on . She claims that after a business dinner and the  taping, she woke up naked in her hotel room in pain, bleeding and not remembering anything of what happened the night prior. The woman claims Allen was lying next to her in bed, and insisted she take a Plan B pill.
