Former NBA player Adreian Payne was shot and killed at the young age of 31.
The 31-year-old former basketball player played four seasons in the NBA with multiple team. He was drafter 15th overall in 2014 by the Atlanta Hawks.
“A male in his 30s who had been shot, later identified as Adreian Payne, was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead,” law enforcement told E! News in a statement, adding that the shooter “stayed at the scene and was transported to OCSO headquarters where he was interviewed by homicide detectives.” ESPN says the shooter is named Lawrence Dority. So far, the circumstances behind the shooting have not been released.
