Florian Zeller’s ‘The Son’ Sells Out Globally; Anthony Hopkins & Zen McGrath Join Cast

EXCLUSIVE: Travis Bennett, Andrea Savage, Rhea Perlman, La La Anthony and Deon Cole have rounded out the cast of a new untitled Netflix comedy starring Jonah Hill with Kenya Barris directing. They join an ensemble that already includes Lauren London, Eddie Murphy, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Sam Jay and Molly Gordon.

Allen Maldonado (Sneakerheads, The Last OG) and Shadow of the Tomb Raider video game franchise alum Earl Baylon have joined the voice cast of Netflix and Legendary’s Tomb Raider anime series. It is based on the Square Enix action-adventure video game that has spawned comic books and three feature films, with a fourth on the way.

Rob McElhenney, has been renewed for seasons 3 and 4. On Thursday, the streaming platform confirmed the news with a video announcement that was quickly taken over by season 2 guest star Anthony Hopkins and star Jason Sudeikis after they hopped on McElhenney’s video call.

FX’s comedy pilot  from FX Productions received a full series order set to premiere in 2022. Shameless star Jeremy Allen White was previously announced as the lead of the half-hour comedy about a young chef who returns to Chicago to run the family restaurant.

Zeller revealed on Monday that Hopkins had joined the film’s cast, which includes Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern and Vanessa Kirby. Production wrapped on the film earlier this month in London with shooting also taking place in New York and France.
