Five people were left hurt after a police chase with a 'suspicious' car ended in a crash in Bolton.
Officers first spotted the Skoda in the Bury Road area at around 8.30pm last night (Sunday, March 10). Police pursued the car onto the A666 St Peter's Way, where it then drove onto the wrong side of the carriageway from the slip road.
The Skoda then smashed into a BMW. Paramedics raced to the scene and five people - three people from the Skoda and two from the BMW - were treated.

Police said 'a number of the people' were rushed to hospital with serious injuries. The incident has been referred to the police watchdog - the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
After the smash, a stretch of the A666 was cordoned off for hours on Sunday evening and into Monday morning. Investigations were carried out within the cordon by GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
Police are now urging any witnesses, or anyone with footage or information, to come forward. GMP can be contacted on 0161 846 4741, or 101, quoting the log number 2576 of 10/03/24.

Last night, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: "At just before 8.40pm today (Sunday March 10) three fire engines from Bolton North, Farnworth, and Bolton Central fire stations were called to reports of a road traffic collision on St Peter’s Way, Bolton.
"Crews remain in attendance alongside colleagues from North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Police."
