A man in the Philippines has become the first person to die outside of China from coronavirus.
In a statement, the Philippine Department of health said the 44 year-old, from Wuhan, was admitted to Manila hospital, in the city's capital, on January 25.
He was suffering with a fever, cough and sore throat when admitted before developing severe pneumonia.
The 38-year-old woman he was with tested positive for the virus and remains in hospital isolation.
