Eight bins were destroyed by a blaze after a disposable barbecue was tossed away while still hot.
Firefighters rushed to Arley Avenue in Bury at around 9pm last night to reports of a bin fire.
When they arrived, they found that a row of eight wheelie bins ablaze in the residential street.
Firefighters discovered that the fire had been caused by a disposable barbecue, thrown in one of the bins before it had time to cool down.
