Fire Country Season 2 is coming to an end, and there’s a big surprise awaiting!
The CBS drama proved to be an early hit when it arrived in October of 2022, and by January of 2023, the series was renewed for a second season.
In the show, Bode Donovan is a young convict with a troubled past hoping to redeem himself by volunteering for the California Conservation Camp Program, in which prisoners assist the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, known as Cal Fire. The series follows him as he’s assigned to his hometown in Northern California as he works with former friends, other inmates and firefighters putting out fires in the region.
Season 2 will draw to an end Friday (May 17), and we already know one star is coming back!

Joe Otterson TV Reporter The quiz series “The Floor” has been renewed for Seasons 2 and 3 at Fox, with host Rob Lowe entering into an unscripted first-look deal with the network. “Fans loved the first season of ‘The Floor’ so much that we’ve ordered two more seasons of this breakthrough game show with plans already underway to make our epic battle of the brains even bigger and bolder,” said Michael Thorn, president of the Fox Television Network. “It’s also been a massive win to have a huge star like Rob Lowe as our host, and both our viewers and competitors can’t wait to see him back in action.” Under Lowe’s new deal, he will develop new unscripted series for Fox that would be produced by the network’s unscripted studio, Fox Alternative Entertainment.

Selome Hailu “Alert: Missing Persons Unit” has been renewed for a third season at Fox. The series is a producedural drama set in the Philadelphia Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit, with each episode featuring a search for a missing person headed by detectives Jason Grant (Scott Caan) and Nikki Batista (Dania Ramirez), a former couple whose marriage ended after the disappearance of their son. Along with Caan and Ramirez, the cast includes Ryan Broussard as Mike Sherman, Adeola Role as Kemi Adebayo, Petey Gibson as C, Gil Bellows as Hollis Braun and Alisha-Marie Ahamed as Wayne Pascal.
EXCLUSIVE: Hiroyuki Sanada, star and producer of FX‘s limited series Shōgun, has closed a deal to return as Lord Yoshii Toranaga, sources tell Deadline. Securing Sanada, whose character’s journey to become shōgun and lead Japan to an era of peace was chronicled in the 10-episode adaptation of James Clavell’s novel, has been considered crucial to any plan to extend Shogun beyond its original installment.
