The Fire Brigades Union has submitted a legal application to play a key role in the public inquiry into the Manchester Arena bombing atrocity.
The union has submitted an application for 'core participant' status.
A preliminary hearing in front of the inquiry's chairman Sir John Saunders will be held over video link on June 2 next week.
It will be streamed live on the inquiry's YouTube channel and consider the FBU's application. A final ruling however could be made at a later date.
