FilmNation Names Robin Schwartz President Of Television

EXCLUSIVE: FilmNation Entertainment has hired television producer Robin Schwartz as President of Television.
Schwartz will be based in Los Angeles and report to FilmNation CEO Glen Basner.
She will oversee all aspects of development and production for the independent studio’s growing television slate and lead the division as the company accelerates its ambitions in the TV space.
FilmNation is currently in production in Ireland on Small Town, Big Story created by Chris O’Dowd starring Paddy Considine and Christina Hendricks which will be distributed by SKY in the UK. FilmNation’s first foray into television, I Know This Much Is True for HBO, garnered Mark Ruffalo an Emmy Award for his lead role.
Most recently, Schwartz had a producing deal with Tomorrow Studios under her Working Bird banner. Before that she headed up the television divisions of Big Beach, Regency, and OWN: the Oprah Winfrey Network. She began her career at NBC building the network’s Must See TV slate.
