Fashion & Beauty Brands Donating to Black Lives Matter

In celebration of Juneteenth, Jason Mraz will donate the profits from his next album to Black Lives Matter and other organizations around the United States and the world that are dedicated to equality and justice. CNN reported that the Grammy Award winner dropped a new project today, Look For The Good, the same day that black Americans experienced emancipation from slavery throughout the United States.

A few days ago, it was reported that BTS and Big Hit Entertainment were in talks to decide upon an amount to donate towards the Black Lives Matter movement. The K-Pop band decided to step forward and do their bit as people took to the street in the US protesting and demanding justice for George Floyd following his death by the hands of a police officer.

Over the past few days, people across the USA, including several celebrities, have participated in the protest against the killing of George Floyd. People are coming together to raise their voices in support of the black victims of police brutality as part of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The tragic death of George Floyd in Minnesota last week sparked outrage and has seen people across the world move to take a stand in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.The 46-year-old African-American father died after a Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, knelt on his neck for nine minutes until he could no longer breathe.

John Boyega recently showed up to participate in the protests against the killing of George Floyd and all the other black victims of police brutality and fearlessly addressed the rally. Over the last few days, various Hollywood celebrities have broken the COVID 19 social distancing rule to join the anti-racism solidarity protests taking place across the USA.

Dwayne Johnson has also added himself in the list of celebrities standing in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. After George Floyd was harassed by four policemen and one of them kneeled down on his neck which resulted in his death, protests are raging across the US with millions of people on the streets revolting against the injustice done towards the African-American community.

BTS members RM, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, V, Suga, and J-Hope have come forward to show their support towards the Black Lives Matter movement. The members issued a unanimous statement condemning the death of George Floyd.

Kelly Clarkson has urged fans to “stay focused” after attracting criticism for a series of tweets about the Black Lives Matter movement.

R&B star The Weeknd has called on his corporate “partners” in the music industry to join him in making significant donations to support Black Lives Matter causes.

Rapper The Weeknd has donated 500,000 dollars (about £400,000) to Black Lives Matter causes and urged record labels and streaming services to do similar.
