The family of a murdered mum say they ‘deserve answers’ after her killer was revealed to be living in the country illegally. Obert Moyo, 46, was branded a ‘danger to women’ after admitting the murder of his ex-partner Perseverance Ncube.
Consumed with jealousy after she broke up with him and found a new partner, Moyo had stalked 35-year-old Ms Ncube for months and continually turned up at her home.
He let himself into the property where she lived with her two young children and brutally murdered Ms Ncube in front of them, stabbing her to the heart. The children, aged 10 and 12, tried to save their mum and prayed for her as she lay dying in the street outside their home in Little Hulton, Salford.

Ms Ncube, known to loved ones as Percy, was aware of his past but decided to give him a chance. It has also emerged following Moyo’s sentencing hearing at Manchester Crown Court, that he was living in the UK illegally.
Moyo had been fitted with an electronic tag as part of being bailed by the Home Office. The M.E.N. understands he arrived in the country in the early 2000s on a flight from South Africa and has remained in the UK ever since.
A statement released by Ms Ncube’s family after her killer was jailed for life read: "Moyo's sentence today will never bring Percy back to a family that loved and adored her so much.
"Percy's family deserve answers from the Home Office as to why this man, as

While the pair stepped back from their senior royal roles in 2020, their visit to the west African nation was dubbed a 'mini royal tour' – a reference which a leading royal expert points out will not have "pleased" King Charles or the Prince of Wales.
King Charles had a private meeting with David Beckham, just after he allegedly turned down an opportunity to see Prince Harry due to his busy schedule. After his doctors confirmed that The King could focus on getting back to a fuller diary, the King did not have the opportunity to see his younger son, who jetted into London on Tuesday, in preparation of his appearance at St Paul's Cathedral the next day to celebrate the Invictus Games.
Imagine a world where “Bluey” didn’t know what a dunny or a bin chicken was, or where she sounded more like Skye from Paw Patrol than her true-blue Queenslander self. It’s indeed awful to imagine, but according to multi-platinum musician Megan Washington, that’s almost what happened when Ludo Studio was trying to work out how to take the beloved show around the world.“I remember 100 years ago, when I was in the Ludo offices and the question of the day, or the problem of the day was, were they going to have to dub the show into an American accent for American audiences?” Megan, who plays Bluey’s teacher Calypso, said on an interview with Robin Bailey and Kip Wightman on KIIS 97.3 [Australia radio station].“It was the true question of the day: ‘How are we going to deal with this? What’s going to happen?”In the end, the idea of dubbing “Bluey” was impossible; removing the accents can’t erase the inherent Australian-ness of the show.Megan said she was impressed with the decision not to dub.
