The family of a man at the centre of a horrific murder investigation say they 'will never understand why someone would want to hurt him.'
The body of 33-year-old Scott Anderton, from Leigh, was found in the Leeds and Liverpool canal near King Street on Thursday morning.
Emergency services had been called at around 7am to reports of concern for the welfare of a man.
Police began an investigation
