A family were shocked to capture doorbell camera footage of a man getting out his car to destroy a snowman in their garden.
The snowman, built by a nine-year-old girl, was kicked over by the motorist whose actions were branded “mean and horrible”. The family initially believed the snowman, created during the week’s wintry weather, fell over on its own.
But when they checked the doorbell camera, they were stunned to see the man launching the bizarre attack. The video showed the man drawing up in his car before crossing the street and sauntering into their garden.
The man, who appears to be clad in a blue tracksuit, then aims a giant kick at the snowman, which topples backwards. The footage shows him walking back to vehicle car before driving off.
The family, from Dudley in the West Midlands, said children were left upset when they learned what had happened to the snowman. The youngsters had been hoping to watch it melt.
The family’s bemused dad, who asked not to be named, told Birmingham Live: “The wife had a doorbell alert, then we saw what had happened. We couldn’t believe it.
“It is weird that it annoyed him so much he had to stop and pull over. I know it’s only a snowman but to come up onto someone’s garden, it’s not on.”
He added: “It had started to lean over, the kids were looking forward to it melting.” The mother said the girl who built the snowman had been upset by its demise.
She called the man’s actions “mean and horrible”, and said she wanted to find out who was responsible.
