New legislation which will permanently enforce a six-month notice period under the Renting Homes (Wales) Act was due to be introduced on July 15, but has now been pushed back to December 1.
“We’ve been here for ten years. We got served an eviction notice at the end of February which was running for six months, then all of a sudden they re-issued the eviction notice for two months. The eviction date was June 3rd,” said Kathryn. “Obviously, we haven’t been able to leave as we have nowhere to do, the council advised us to stay put, we are now awaiting a possession order from the estate agents.
