Ted Johnson Joe Biden’s presidential campaign launched an online petition and open letter targeting Facebook’s policies, telling CEO Mark Zuckerberg that the platform has taken “no meaningful action” to root out misinformation.In the letter, the Biden campaign writes that Facebook “continues to allow Donald Trump to say anything — and to pay to ensure that his wild claims reach millions of voters.  SuperPACs and other dark money groups are following his example.

The decision split Facebook’s workforce, with many staging a virtual walkout earlier this week.

On Thursday morning, Donald Trump will sign a wide-ranging executive order that accuses tech giants Google, Facebook and Twitter of political bias, and tasks federal agencies to investigate them, The Washington Post reported Wednesday.

Don’t expect Facebook to join Twitter in fact-checking false or inaccurate statements made by Donald Trump. In an interview set to air Thursday, CEO Mark Zuckerberg told Fox News “I just believe strongly that Facebook shouldn’t be the arbiter of truth of everything that people say online.”
