EXCLUSIVE: CBS is developing She Gets It From Me, a semi-autobiographical single-camera comedy from Emmy winner Dan Bucatinsky (Scandal) inspired by his journey as an adoptive parent. He is joined on the project by Cristela Alonzo (Cristela) who is set to star and will co-write and executive produce with Bucatinsky. The intention is for Bucatinsky to also star but there is no acting deal for him at this time, we hear. Jennifer Lopez’ Nuyorican and Ryan Seacrest Prods. are producing for ABC Signature.

Gene Maddaus Senior Media Writer “Rust” will resume production in January, more than a year after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot and killed on set. But the production will not return to New Mexico, where a criminal investigation and state workplace safety proceedings remain unresolved. The production is still looking for a new location, but California is a possibility, said Melina Spadone, the attorney for Rust Movie Productions LLC. The production company announced a settlement on Oct. 5 with Matthew Hutchins, the widower of the cinematographer. Under the agreement, the production will be able to resume after a 15-month hiatus. Matthew Hutchins said in a statement that completing the film would be a way “to pay tribute to Halyna’s final work.”

The Rolling Stones are reportedly set to release their first new album of music in 18 years next summer. The news follows the death of longtime band drummer Charlie Watts in 2021.The legendary rock band spent this summer performing at numerous venues across Europe in honor of their 60th anniversary as a group. "I’m told Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood teamed up in New York over the past fortnight for recording sessions, alongside a raft of world-class session musicians to complete the initial recordings for their first output of original material in 18 years," a source close to the band told The Sun on Monday.

New Mexico health officials are renewing a public order aimed at protecting newborn babies from syphilis. The state Health Department on Wednesday announced requirements that medical providers follow best practices by testing all pregnant women for syphilis multiple times. The agency says that New Mexico had the highest rate of congenital syphilis cases among states in 2020, when there were 42 local cases of newborn babies contracting the disease from their mothers.That is the most recent year for finalized federal statistics.
