An ‘evil and entitled’ man who abused a woman in a horrific campaign of violence, including breaking her leg by jumping on it and burning her with an iron, has been jailed.
Steven Blades, 53, began abusing the woman in the 1980s by repeatedly assaulting her, initially leaving her with constant broken noses and black eyes.
During a trial, witnesses commented that they had never seen her face without an injury, Stockport Magistrates Court sitting at Minshull Street Crown Court heard.
