In an ABC News special last night called "Royal Divide: Harry, Meghan, and the Crown," Harry's friends, alongside media and royal experts, weighed in on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepping back as senior royals—which entails their living more independently in Canada, making their own income, and possibly paying for their own security. But experts believe their desire to have more privacy might backfire on them.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have just begun a new phase in Canada and while it may not be an ideal start, the couple have much to look forward. As we informed you earlier, Meghan and Harry's new abode in Vancouver has been thronged by reporters and photographers from around the world with many camping out for days. And while it is inevitable for Meghan and Harry to escape the media, the couple can be assured that their neighbours or the people of Vancouver plan to respect their privacy. 

Kate Middleton and Prince William are back to business as usual today, following Prince Harry's Sandringham summit with his brother, father Prince Charles, and grandmother Queen Elizabeth II about his and Meghan Markle's future on Monday.

After returning to Canada following the announcement that she and Prince Harry would step down as senior royals, Meghan Markle attended her first public engagement since the news broke, visiting a women's center in Vancouver.

Multiple royal reporters have confirmed this morning that Meghan Markle did not join Prince Harry's Sandringham summit meeting with Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, and Prince William this morning via phone because she and Harry decided it wasn't necessary for her to. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry might be a team, but that doesn't mean the Duchess of Sussex is involved in everything. On Monday, Harry met with the senior members of his family to discuss the couple's future within the British monarchy. Harry met with his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, his father, Prince Charles, and his brother, Prince William, at Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, England, while his wife and son Archie were thousands of miles away on Vancouver Island in Canada.

Prince Harry, Prince William, Prince Charles, and Queen Elizabeth II attended a Sandringham summit meeting this afternoon and it culminated with an update from the Queen herself on the future of Harry and his wife Meghan Markle. They will no longer be full-time working members of the British royal family, days after the couple announced their intention to step back as senior members of the royal family.

Following the statement issued by the Queen on Monday (Jan. 13), discussions on the circumstances of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s future plans outside the monarchy are still ongoing. And since the young couple will be splitting their time between Canada and the UK, Justin Trudeau has commented on Harry and Meghan’s plans and how the country will support them in their transition into a semi-royal life.
