But when casting Ryan Reynolds as the lead of the film, the prospect of finding a pre-teen performer capable of, frankly, keeping up with Reynolds and nailing his specific mannerisms and inflection seemed nearly impossible.What Reynolds and director Shawn Levy didn’t know, however, was that in casting newcomer Walker Scobell to play the younger version of Reynolds’ character Adam Reed, they had hired one of the world’s biggest “Deadpool” fans.“In the same way that you can’t direct someone to be funny, you also can’t direct someone to be more Ryan Reynolds-ish,” Levy candidly told TheWrap in a recent interview.

Ellin has recruited Charlie Sheen and several of his “Entourage” stars — including Kevin Connolly and Kevin Dillon — to play themselves in “Ramble On,” a scripted dramatic comedy about established stars looking for career reinvention, alongside aspiring performers looking to make their own name.The show, which is currently being shopped to potential distributors, comes from Angry Lunch, a new shingle recently formed by Ellin and Ted Foxman, in association with Action Park Media.

The Hollywood Reporter.Sources told the publication that contenders must endure a “grueling” audition process with casting director Carmen Cuba as well as a “Madonna boot camp,” intense choreography training sessions lasting up to 11 hours a day with Madonna’s choreographer and the pop icon herself.For the callback portion of the process, the actresses must do readings with Madonna, 63, as well as singing auditions.“You have to be able to do everything,” another insider divulged. According to sources, the flick will feature the “Material Girl” singer’s 1990 Blonde Ambition tour but could be cut since the script is still being written.Madonna appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last October and explained why she has decided to create a feature about her illustrious career.
