Eric Stonestreet appeared uncomfortable during his appearance on “Today with Hoda and Jenna” on Friday. The “Modern Family” alum stopped by the show to talk about reuniting with nearly every cast member from the beloved sitcom, and him starring alongside Tim Allen in Season 2 of “The Santa Clauses” on Disney+. At first, Stonestreet, 52, was all smiles as he waved to the camera before a commercial break.
But suddenly, during the 10-second bit, his smile dropped as he closed his eyes to seemingly gather himself, to only open them again and wince through some sort of pain. During his interview, Stonestreet still laughed and seemed pretty lively, but as the conversation wrapped up, the camera caught him looking around and sniffling loudly before saying something unintelligible. The Post has contacted a rep for Stonestreet for comment.
One fan showed concern for the “Identity Thief” star on X, the platform previously known as Twitter, writing, “Why was he crying before the interview?”Stonestreet proposed to his longtime girlfriend Lindsay Schweitzer, a pediatric nurse, back in August 2021. He explained Friday that he “tricked her pretty good” when he popped the question. “I convinced her that a company was interested in us working together for an ad campaign.
