R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan and country singer Eric Church performed the National Anthem during Sunday's Super Bowl, which took place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. Church played the guitar while wearing a purple jacket and sunglasses, while Sullivan wore a cream-colored pantsuit and a bejeweled headpiece.

Although much of the musical focus of last night’s Super Bowl in Tampa, Florida was placed on halftime show headliner The Weeknd, there was still room for some (aural) fireworks in the earlier segment of the show. Kicking off the evening’s broadcast was Californian R&B guitarist and songwriter H.E.R., who delivered a tasteful, graceful performance of “America The Beautiful” which gave way to an absolutely massive guitar solo.

As fans waited for the bout between the  Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to kick off, the duo took the field to begin the game by singing the "Star-Spangled Banner," prompting rave reviews by fans and viewers on social media.  The pair had a tough act to follow after last year’s anthem saw Demi Lovato belt out the song to similar acclaim from the audience.
