Sasha Urban editorNetflix announced on Thursday eight regular and recurring cast members joining the upcoming series “Glamorous.”  Variety exclusively revealed earlier this month that Kim Cattrall will star as makeup mogul Madolyn Addison, while it was previously announced that Miss Benny (“Fuller House”) will star as Marco Meija, who lands a job working for Addison.Zane Phillips (“Fire Island”), Jade Payton (“Dynasty”), Michael Hsu Rosen (“Tiny Pretty Things”), Ayesha Harris (“Tell It Like a Woman”) and Graham Parkhurst (“The Umbrella Academy”) join the cast as regulars. Joining the series as guest stars are Diana Maria Riva (“Dead To Me”), Lisa Gilroy (“Jury Duty”) and Mark Deklin (“Good Fight”).“Glamorous” follows Marco Mejia, a young, gender non-conforming queer person who is feeling stuck in his life until he secures a job working under the legendary makeup executive Madolyn Allison.

Selome Hailu Rashida Jones and Will McCormack’s production company Le Train Train has entered a first look deal with the Lionsgate Television Group, where Jones and McCormack will produce scripted projects across platforms. The first project in development under the deal is “Lovesick,” based on the UK series of the same name.“Lovesick” was a romantic comedy series that ran for one season on Channel 4 before moving to Netflix for Seasons 2 and 3.

Netflix looks to be reuniting with some familiar faces as sources tell Deadline the streamer has come on to Joe and Anthony Russo’s next directing feature The Electric State with Millie Bobby Brown set to star. Netflix released a first-look teaser for its upcoming holiday season special Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical, with Alisha Weir as the title character, a little girl with an extraordinarily vivid imagination. The film adaptation, written by Dennis Kelly, adapted from the Tony and Olivier award-winning Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of the stage’s Matilda The Musical, also stars Emma Thompson as Miss Trunchbull), and Lashana Lynch, Stephen Graham, Andrea Riseborough and Sindhu Vee.

Animation is film!” When the cheers died down, he world premiered eight minutes of footage, finished and unfinished, from his stop-motion fable about a wooden boy with a borrowed soul.

Netflix has set September 30 for the premiere of Entergalactic, the adult-animated music series based on the upcoming album of the same name by rapper, singer and actor Kid Cudi. The series hails from Kenya Barris and Scott Mescudi, better known by his stage name Kid Cudi, who also stars. The date was announced Wednesday during Netflix’s Animation Showcase at the Annecy International Film Festival. You can watch the date announcement teaser above. Entergalactic will showcase music from Kid Cudi’s album. The series follows a young artist named Jabari, voiced by Mescudi, as he attempts to balance love and success. Finding the latter brings Jabari a step closer to the former, when moving into his dream apartment introduces him to his new neighbor, photographer it-girl, Meadow, voiced by Williams. An explosion of art, music, and fashion, Entergalactic takes place in the only city that can handle all three: New York.
