Ian Evatt says it is 'great' to still be involved in how Marlon Fossey is progressing in his comeback from injury amid future conversations Bolton Wanderers intend to have about getting the Fulham defender back this summer.
The 23-year-old's time on the pitch this season as part of an impressive loan spell at Wanderers from the Cottagers came to a premature end last month after he suffered a torn meniscus in the loss to Plymouth Argyle.
He has since had surgery on the injury, which has cut short his involvement on the pitch at the Whites this season, a big blow for both the player and Bolton after he had become a big part of Evatt's side.

Fossey was a huge success at Wanderers since arriving on loan from Fulham at the start of the January transfer window.
He made 16 appearances and scored once, helping Wanderers in their climb up the League One table over the past couple of months.
The defender has since returned to his parent club Fulham and is progressing well with his rehabilitation at the promoted club which is bound for the Premier League next season after sealing promotion.
He has recently back back training at the Cottagers and his recovery is something that Evatt has been kept in the loop about.
And the Bolton boss, who has made no secret of the desire to have Fossey back at Wanderers next season, believes that bodes well as the Whites aim to get the defender back for the 2022/23 campaign.
Evatt told the Manchester Evening News: “I’m still in contact with Marlon, he’s doing great as well.
