Emmerdale looks set for explosive scenes during the ITV soap's 50th anniversary stunt week as Al Chapman and Chas Dingle's affair risks being exposed during an awkward scene with Kerry Wyatt. In upcoming scenes, the village will be changed forever as a devastating storm hits, kickstarting a chain reaction of events that will rock the Dales. While Emmerdale boss Jane Hudson has confirmed "deaths, destruction and lots of tears" for the ITV soap's explosive 50th anniversary.
In upcoming episodes, Al is forced to pick between the two women in his life as they are both left injured during the storm. During the scenes, Al's fiancée Kerry and secret lover Chas are injured by flying debris in the storm. Al witnesses both injuries as he's forced to pick between his wife-to-be or his secret lover.
However, in a shocking twist, Al rushes to aid Chas and leaves fiancée Kerry injured on the floor. Watching her husband-to-be rescue Chas over her, Kerry gets a sense something isn’t right... Is the moment Chas and Al's affair is rumbled? And will both Chas and Kerry be okay from their injuries? Teasing the upcoming 50th anniversary, Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw said: "Al and Chas have grown a lot closer now but will their affair finally be exposed? Viewers will have to wait and see!" It comes as Emmerdale boss Jane said of the ITV soap's milestone and what to expect: "Well, it is a roller coaster of emotions and there is a visual impact, I think it will blow more than your socks off, put it that way.
