The story of the most famous exotic male dance revue takes a dark twist in the just-released teaser trailer for Hulu’s upcoming limited series “Welcome to Chippendales.”Starring Kumail Nanjiani as Somen “Steve” Banerjee, the show will tell the story of the Indian immigrant who founded the male-stripping empire, a story that includes murder, mystery, entrepreneurship and dancing.Recent “White Lotus” Emmy winner Murray Bartlett joins Nanjiani in the show as producer and choreographer Nick De Noia, described by the streamer as a “charming, fast-talking New Yorker who’s certain he’s God’s gift to entertainment.”“Welcome to Chippendales” also stars Annaleigh Ashford, Juliette Lewis, Quentin Plair, Robin de Jesus, Andrew Rannells, Nicola Peltz and Dan Stevens.The first two episodes of the show will stream beginning Nov. 22 on Hulu.Robert Siegel and Nanjiani executive produce the show alongside Dylan Sellers, Jenni Konner, Matt Shakman, Emily V.

Amazon has unveiled the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Western drama series “The English,” starring Emily Blunt (“A Quiet Place”) and Chaske Spencer (“Wild Indian”). “The English” is a described as a “chase Western” from writer and director Hugo Blick (“The Honourable Woman”). The series takes the core themes of identity and revenge to tell a parable on race, power and love.
It follows aristocratic Englishwoman Lady Cornelia Locke (Blunt) and her Pawnee ex-cavalry scout Eli Whipp (Spencer) as they come together in 1890 middle America to cross a violent landscape built on dreams and blood. Both of them have a clear sense of their destiny, but neither is aware that it is rooted in a shared past. They must face increasingly terrifying obstacles that will test them to their limits, physically and psychologically.
But as each obstacle is overcome, it draws them closer to their ultimate destination—the new town of Hoxem, Wyoming. It is here, after an investigation by the local sheriff Robert Marshall (Stephen Rea) and young widow Martha Myers (Valerie Pachner) into a series of bizarre and macabre unsolved murders, that the full extent of their intertwined history will be truly understood, and they will come face-to-face with the future they must live. The series’ ensemble cast also includes Rafe Spall (“The Salisbury Poisonings”), Tom Hughes (“A Discovery of Witches”), Toby Jones (“Marvellous”) and Ciarán Hinds (“The Terror”).All six episodes of the limited series will premiere on Prime Video November 11 exclusively in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the Nordics following its Nov.

K.J. Yossman “The English” is set to get a star-studded red-carpet premiere in Cannes this October during Mipcom. Emily Blunt, Chaske Spencer and writer/director Hugo Blick are all set to attend the Oct. 16 premiere of the high-octane Western, which will open the festival. Mipcom runs from Oct. 17-20. The six-part series is set to air in November on BBC Two and iPlayer in the U.K. and on Prime Video in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand Drama Republic, a Median company, and Eight Rooks produce the show in association with All3Media, who are distributing the series. “Dancing With The Stars” is coming to Latvia and returning to Estonia after BBC Studios upped its deal with All Media Baltics.
