A serious crash has taken place on one of Scotland's busiest roads this morning.

Emergency services have been dealing with a multi-vehicle smash on the M9 near Grangemouth.
The accident involving four vehicles happened shortly before 8am this morning at J7 in Skinflats.
A number of police, fire and ambulance crews were spotted at the scene, with long tailback in both directions.
Pictures from the scene show a van being towed away by a recover truck.
The westbound carriageway was closed for a number of hours, but has since reopened.
It's not known at this stage if anyone has been badly injured.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to a report of a 4 vehicle crash on the M9 between junction 6 and 7 around 7.40am on Thursday 3 February 2022.
"The road was closed to allow recovery of the vehicles and has now fully re-opened."
