Elton John Hosting Coronavirus Relief Concert With Alicia Keys, Billie Eilish And More

LOS ANGELES — A weekend benefit broadcast featuring recording stars performing live music online from home raised nearly $8 million for two charities serving first responders and Americans facing economic hardship amid the coronavirus crisis, sponsors said on Monday.

Elton John and his famous friends know how to put on a great show for an even greater cause. On Sunday night, the Grammy winner hosted the iHeartRadio Living Room Concert for America on Fox, which helped to support two of the many charitable organizations helping victims and first responders during the Coronavirus pandemic: Feeding America and First Responders Children's Foundation.

In honour of these front line health care workers and first responders, Elton John put up a star-studded Living Room Concert that featured everyone from Lady Gaga to Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes. The artists went on air from their homes for a moving show on March 29th.

Update 3/29/20: More celebrities are joining in on the cause when it comes to Fox's televised COVID-19 benefit concert tonight, which is hosted by Elton John. Fox announced on Sunday that Ellen DeGeneres, Lady Gaga, Ken Jeong, Ryan Seacrest, Melissa McCarthy, and Ben Falcone would also appear during Fox Presents the iHeart Living Room Concert for America concert event.
