Elon Musk is making yet another controversial change to his social media platform.
The 52-year-old Tesla businessman and richest man in the world revealed that X (formerly Twitter) would do away with allowing its users to see who has “liked” a post.
“Important change: your likes are now private,” he declared, along with a news announcement from the brand’s official page.

“This week we’re making Likes private for everyone to better protect your privacy. You will still be able to see posts you have liked (but others cannot). Like count and other metrics for your own posts will still show up under notifications. You will no longer see who liked someone else’s post. A post’s author can see who liked its posts,” the company announced.
The change has had mixed-to-negative reactions on the platform.
