Love Island's Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has received multiple death threats from "kids" and "mothers" during her stay in the villa, the pal running her social media accounts has revealed. Ever since the reality star stepped foot in the villa, her social accounts have been managed by her friend, Mabel, who she first met at a hot tub party. Speaking on the Murad Merali podcast, Mabel revealed since meeting the pair have had a very "intense friendship" and described it as almost a "boyfriend girlfriend relationship".
Discussing what it's been like as Ekin-Su's social media handler, she opened up about the countless death threats and messages which she tried to ignore initially. She said: "Certain people take this show way too seriously.They take this show like it's life and death. It's like they're not living.
"I have had the worst DMs for Instagram and I couldn't believe it. What's worse is that some of these are kids. "If they're not kids they're grown adults, mothers actually with like four kids.
It's so confusing. "It got to the point where I was like, 'I'm not going to reply, I'm not going to reply,' because obviously it's not my account and I can't be saying things that, you know, Ekin wouldn't normally say." But Mabel said it got to the point where she couldn't ignore the trolls any longer and decided to start messaging schools and other organisations associated with the message sender. She said: "I messaged schools, I messaged football teams, I messaged gymnastics clubs.
