Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has admitted she "lost herself" as she candidly opened up for the first time since her 'car crash' exit interview on Celebrity Big Brother.
The former Love Island star had been at the centre of face-to-face nominations drama with housemate Marisha Wallace during her stint on the show. Ekin was left reeling when her pal put her up to face the public vote.
Following her exit, the drama saw Ekin get a grilling on spin-off show by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best. However, she failed to turn up to a scheduled interview on ITV's Lorraine afterwards and was notably absent from the CBB final.
The 29-year-old remained under the radar after her stint on the show which saw David Potts crowned the winner. She has broken her silence to her 3.8 million followers according to reports in OK! alongside a string of pictures.
"Just a little message to say hi," she wrote in the lengthy caption. "Thank you once more for all your kindness. Took some time off to reflect, recharge and restore which I'm still very much doing but I’ll need to be back online for work purposes especially. Thanks to the brands who I work with who have respected my boundaries and shown compassion and love during the past year."
She continued: "Haven’t felt myself for a long time, and I’ve realised i had kind of lost myself and for a while didn’t know who I was beyond being defined by ex relationships or TV shows, and that needs to change! I am so excited for all the growth and full healing.
"CBB was the final lightbulb moment to make me realise what needs to be done. Embracing the fresh start to a new month and new era…. Wishing everyone an April full of possibilities. I am so grateful for each one of you [red heart emoji]"
