EastEnders star Danny Walters breaks exit silence with cheeky set theft confession

Hot on the heels of last night’s explosive Christmas Day murder bombshell which saw his character Keanu Taylor sadly lose his life after being stabbed by Linda Carter, EastEnders actor Danny Walters has opened up about the storyline including his thoughts about leaving the show after six years and what he stole as a souvenir. Like many of us, Danny revealed many of his own relatives hadn’t seen the plot twist coming and keeping it a secret from his loved ones had proved to be quite the mammoth undertaking.
He explained: “It’s been extremely difficult! I feel like I’ve been very deceitful to my friends and my family and have made many excuses!” “But, I wanted the storyline to have as much impact as possible for the audience, so I’ve tried my best to keep everything a secret and hopefully that’s paid off.” Opening up about how it felt to be part of such an iconic storyline, Danny admitted: “The Christmas Day episode is a great episode. It stands alone, and there is so much to it.” “The writing in the script was fantastic, and every character had such a great storyline throughout the whole episode.
“For my character, the episode is a real rollercoaster of emotions from the highs and the lows. It was such a pleasure to be part of.” As regular viewers will know, the storyline first began ten months ago in February 2023, when a flash forward preview revealed that one character would be killed on Christmas Day.
Over the course of the next few months, various clues and plot threads intersected, with the show constantly leaving viewers on the edges of their seats as they tried to work out who would meet a grisly end.
