Former EastEnders star Maisie Smith's mum Julia is following in her famous daughter's footsteps as she was spotted filming scenes for the BBC soap. Julia was seen reading a script for the show, which made her talented 20 year old daughter shoot to fame thanks to the iconic role as Tiffany Butcher, which she played from 2008 until earlier this year.
As Julia, who is understood to be playing an extra on the soap, turned to someone for assistance with her lines, Gillian Wright, who plays Jean Slater, filmed in an extravagant long-sleeved lace wedding dress. Jean, who suffers from bipolar in the soap, was seen in the frilly gown while holding a peach-coloured handbag and floral headband as she ran across Adventure Island theme park on Southend's seafront.
Gillian, who plays Jean, tucked into a burger as her dress and veil blowed in the gusty seaside winds as she strolled down the Essex seafront. Meanwhile, further scenes are set to show Jean struggling to stay afloat in the water with her daughter Stacey trying to save her life, following Stacey's fears Jean's mental health has been on a downward spiral of late.
Stacey recently confronted her mum after Jean hired a giant bouncy castle for the kids to cheer them up following serial killer Gray Atkin's arrest.
