From Kara Tointon to Danny Mac and Jake Wood to Georgia May Foote, Strictly Come Dancing is known for signing up soap stars each year to shimmer in sequins on the Saturday night show. So it's no surprise that BBC bosses have set their sights on Jade Goody's eldest son, Bobby Brazier, 20 – who plays Freddie Slater in EastEnders – for this year's razzle dazzle spectacular. Former model Bobby – also son to TV presenter Jeff Brazier – first set foot in the Square in autumn 2022, saying he was "very grateful" for the opportunity" and "loving every minute" so far.
"I’m really excited to be joining the cast of EastEnders - so far it’s been perfect," he added at the time. Now a source from Strictly has told The Sun: “Bobby is the dream signing for Strictly — he’s a young heart-throb who comes with a huge fanbase. He also has a very personal backstory and there’s so much love out there for Jade." The continued: “There’s a few last-minute details to sort but the talks are in final stages.” Bobby's mum Jade first became famous on Big Brother in 2002 and sadly died of cervical cancer in 2009 when she was just 27 years old.
Back in March, Bobby and his brother Freddie were spotted taking part in a walk in London's Piccadilly Circus to mark the 14th anniversary of Jade's death. Bobby was seen holding a wooden statue of a Buddha at the walk, while his younger sibling followed closely behind him. The brothers were aged just five and four when their beloved mother passed away.
Freddie and Bobby were then raised by Jeff. Bobby has since opened up about losing his mum at such a young age, revealing he doesn't remember "a whole lot" about the Big Brother star and bases his memory of Jade on what others have told him about her. Speaking to
