Navin Chowdhry has been making waves since his debut on EastEnders in September 2022.
The 53 year old actor joined the Walford cast as the villainous Nish, husband to Suki Panesar, fresh out of prison after serving time for murder. He's quickly becoming a memorable rogue in the series. He was even forced to beg bosses to make Nish less evil, as he was worried about how fans would see him because of his role.
Although Nish has been gone from Albert Square for a while, on Monday's episode, 27 May, Suki and Eve will be rattled when he turns up on the doorstep of No. 41, saying that the solicitor has sent both copies of their final order divorce paperwork to him. The Panesars agree to change the locks so Nish can't gain access, but he manipulates Avani into getting him inside.
Suki, Ravi, Eve and Vinny are hostile as Nish starts talking, but shockingly he silences them as he tells them he’s dying. Viewers will have to wait to see if everything is quite as it seems. Away from the BBC One soap, Navin has been gracing our screens since his teenage years, with roles in popular shows like Teachers, Doctor Who, and London's Burning, reports MyLondon.
Navin's acting journey began in 1988 when he portrayed Manek Sen in Madame Sousatzka, sharing the screen with Shirley MacLaine and Peggy Ashcroft. In 1993, he featured in the ITV drama London's Burning as Rasheed and has since added numerous shows to his acting portfolio. Alongside his acting career, Navin was urged to prioritise his education.
