The heart-break is non-stop over on BBC One's EastEnders, with yet another Walford couple calling time on their relationship. Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) found himself suddenly single in Thursday night's episode of EastEnders after his wife Monique (Busayo Ige) announced her plans to divorce him after discovering his infidelity. Junior - who moved his family to Walford to get to know his estranged father George - hasn't been a faithful husband, with the boxer sleeping with both Bianca Jackson and Cindy Beale so far on the Square.
After George learnt of Junior's one-night-stand with Bianca, he encouraged his son to tell Monique the truth. But after Junior implied that he had been unfaithful, Monique replied: "Again, Junior? Again? How are we here again? "After everything we've been through, the hurt you caused me.
The promises you made?" While Junior tried to reassure her that it was a one-off mistake, Monique didn't believe him. "I have fought for us, that's why I forgave you.
For our family, for our son.
Time and time again. You were on your last warning, Junior," she said. "Are you trying to push me away? Do you want me to end things? Who was she?" She then confronted Bianca in the café but when she found out that Junior didn't tell Bianca that he was married, Monique returned to talk to Junior again.
"This is emotional abuse. What kind of man are you?" she said. "I'm going back to Dubai and Xavier's coming with me." While Monique was ready to head to the airport with the couple's son Xavier, George convinced her not to leave the country and to allow Junior to have a relationship with his son.
