EastEnders has been cancelled tonight to make way for another broadcast, much to viewers' disappointment. The popular show has been moved from its usual 7.30pm slot in a schedule shake-up which will see the channel air the FA Cup fourth round where Sunderland will take on Fulham. But viewers do not need to worry as the EastEnders episode that was due to air tonight has been moved to Friday night at 7.30pm instead. Because of this, fans will have to wait a couple more days to find out what happened after dying Lola Pearce reconciled with her long lost mum Emma in Tuesday's episode.
Viewers were shocked as Lola, who long believed that her mother had abandoned her when she was a toddler, found out the truth about why Emma had not been in her life. Lola was quick to lash out at her once her true identity was exposed. Emma quickly tried to reconnect and explain herself, but Lola did not want to hear any of it.
However, she was soon convinced to listen to what Emma had to say, and she soon found out that Emma had been a victim of abuse and fled the family home to escape violence at the hands of Lola’s dad. Emma opened up about the scars of her past as she told Lola about the experience she had suffered, leaving both Lola herself – and viewers at home – in floods of tears. Terrified of returning home, Emma left her daughter in her father’s care, only returning when she had plucked up the courage to do so – but it was too late and the pair had already moved and left no trace behind to follow them.

Shirley Halperin Executive Editor, Music Shep Gordon, the longtime manager of Alice Cooper, also known affectionately as “Supermensch” (the title of a 2013 documentary about him), appeared at the Pollstar Live! conference in Los Angeles Tuesday and shared a revealing story about his former client Raquel Welch. The actress, who died last week at the age of 82, was actually quite prudish, Gordon explained, but “her appeal was sex.” The two worked together for five years straddling the end of the 1970s and beginning of the ’80s, a time when Welch’s career had reached a crossroads. The solution seemed to be a Las Vegas show, which Ann-Margret had executed successfully, drawing an audience of wives with husbands in tow. Similarly, what man wouldn’t want to see a scantily clad Welch in the flesh? The formula worked, but after a three-year residency at Caesars Palace, Welch’s contract was close to expiring and Gordon had to step in.
