Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford have been married since 2010 with the favourite TV couple set to celebrate their 13-year wedding anniversary later this month on 26 June. Eamonn, 63, and Ruth, 63, first met in the mid-90s after they were introduced by their mutual friend, TV presenter Sally Meen. However, the couple kept their relationship hidden for two years by avoiding going to public events together or holding hands.This was because Eamonn at the time wanted to be respectful to his three children – Declan, Rebecca and Niall, who he shares with ex-wife Gabrielle, and felt it would be "insensitive".
And this gesture made Ruth fall in love with Eamonn even more as she told the Daily Mail in 2017: "I thought it spoke volumes about the sort of man he was, the sort of father he was and the integrity he had. It made me love him more, not less." The couple got engaged in 2009 after Eamonn proposed at the Cheltenham Races, they then married a year later at The Elvetham hotel in Hampshire on 26 June 2010.The couple welcomed son, Jack, now 21, in 2002. Reflecting on their relationship in the same interview, Ruth said: "Eamonn will be the first to take the mick out of me but he will also be the first to floor me with his thoughtfulness.
