The blockbuster, which stars Dwayne Johnson as the deadly titular antihero, has been rumored for months to possibly feature a cameo appearance of Henry Cavill as Superman or Zachary Levi as Black Adam’s heroic adversary, Shazam. Johnson stoked the flames in an interview with CinemaBlend this past week when asked if he plans to do a movie in which Black Adam fights the Man of Steel. “Absolutely.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is taking on his first superhero role, and he is taking his job as a superhero seriously! The actor told Fox News Digital about his training regimen for "Black Adam," while also emphasizing the positive influence he believes the diverse cast will have on children. "All kids will look at ‘Black Adam’ and the JSA [Justice Society of America] and the cast and the color and the diversity that we have in our cast and crew and go, ‘I can be that,’" Johnson said at the "Black Adam" New York City world premiere. Johnson, the star of the newest DC superhero film, was joined on the red carpet by his "Black Adam" co-stars including Pierce Brosnan, Noah Centineo, and Aldis Hodge. Johnson told Fox News Digital he has been inspired by Black Adam since he was a child and could especially relate to the fictional comic character due to his "brown skin." "So that's why I've been pushing for this movie for so long, for so many years," Johnson said with a smile.
someone in the film — one that he offered a hearty “welcome home” to.Appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday night, Johnson didn’t give any explicit spoilers on the ending of “Black Adam,” but he sure did get close. In talking about the movie, Fallon noted that, like most superhero films, there is indeed a post-credits scene on “Black Adam.” And, according to the host, “Something happens, and people are gonna freak out.” He also teased that that freaking out would happen because “Fans have been kind of asking this for a long time.”Naturally, the assumption there is a Superman cameo.
Dwayne Johnson is hitting the red carpet for the premiere of his new movie!
Dwayne «The Rock» Johnson's young daughters are loving him as Black Adam. ET's Rachel Smith spoke to Johnson at the premiere, where he shared how his girls reacted to his superhero costume and teased the surprise appearance from another DC Universe favorite that has fans even more excited for the highly anticipated film.«They absolutely love it, and I got little ones, they're six and four, and even though I can't show them the entire movie, I'm gonna show them some of it,» Johnson said of his daughters, Tiana and Jasmine, who he shares with wife Lauren Hashian.
has stated that the studio is seeking out DC’s answer to Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige, whose leadership shaped the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Could that person at the helm of DC Films be “Black Adam” star Dwayne Johnson? When Variety asked Johnson if he might be up to the mask on the carpet at the massive Times Square premiere of “Black Adam,” the star took a long swig of water before sayinbg that he’s ready to search for the leader for the job. “The best position that I could be for DC is one as an advisor, where I can help. I love DC. It’s in my blood,” Johnson told Variety’s Jordan Moreau. “In the spirit of growing up with the DC Universe. I’m here to help in any way I can, including looking for and finding that right leader or leaders.”
Dwayne Johnson is a level of celebrity that transcends being a mere movie star. While he recently announced he’s not currently considering a run for President of the United States, the fact that such an idea for Johnson was even raised shows just what level of fame he truly has. It’s also the level of fame where people want him to hold their babies, and are willing to crowdsurf their infants to make it happen.
Dwayne Johnson is hoping that he’ll be able to face off against Superman after making his debut in the DC Universe as the lead anti-hero in Black Adam.
You’d have to be living under a rock (no pun intended) to not realize that Dwayne Johnson is desperate to get his title character from “Black Adam” to come to blows with Superman. He’s talked about it at various events, asking fans if they want to see Superman fight Black Adam.
Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that he “absolutely” intends to make a Black Adam-Superman crossover film – going so far as to say that this prospect was “the whole point” of making his forthcoming DC antihero standalone pic.
Zack Sharf Dwayne Johnson recently told CinemaBlend that “the whole point” of bringing Black Adam to the big screen in his own standalone movie is so that one day he can make a Black Adam vs. Superman movie. Johnson has often been asked by fans which character would win in a fight (“It depends on who’s playing Superman,” he said at Comic-Con over the summer). When asked directly if he “intends to make a movie where Black Adam fights [Superman],” Johnson replied: “Absolutely. That is the whole point of this, man.” “I have been saying for some time, there’s a new era in the DC Universe that’s about to begin,” Johnson said. “And what I meant by that was introducing a brand new character. It’s not a sequel, not an existing IP. It was…you know, Black Adam. Two years ago the world had no idea who he was. We did, but not the rest of the masses out there. What I really meant by, ‘This is a new era in the DC Universe,’ is listening to the fans. And doing our best to give the fans what they want.”
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson was ordered to lose weight, drop his stage name and stop talking about wrestling if he wanted to make it in Hollywood. The 'Fast and the Furious' star shot to fame back in the mid-1990s as a regular performer with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) - adopting the name The Rock and becoming one of the franchise's most recognisable wrestlers before making a crossover to movies with a role as the Scorpion King in 2001's 'The Mummy Returns'. However, Johnson has now revealed he was asked to make some serious changes if he wanted to be taken seriously as an actor.
Dwayne «The Rock» Johnson has been busy shaking hands and holding babies — but not in the name of politics. The 50-year-old actor recently shut down any possibility of a presidential run, saying it was «off the table» so that he could focus on being a present father to his youngest daughters. Meanwhile, the star went viral earlier this month for doting over a tiny baby girl who had essentially crowd surfed her way to the stage during a press event for his new film. In a new interview with ET's Nischelle Turner, he's addressing both situations with his signature good humor.«It was crazy,» he says of the viral moment with baby Luciana, which he shared on his personal Instagram page.
