Dumfries writer appealing for behind-the-scenes stories from town's music lovers

A Dumfries music fan is tuning up for the release of an in depth book on the town’s big name concerts and bands.
And Iain McCartney is looking for a few behind-the-scenes stories from fans and promoters who took in the gigs at local venues.
He already has tales of how 70s smash hits Slade were banned from Dumfries after playing and being ruled vulgar.
Iain also told how so many big name groups came to the town in the 1960s that it was easier to list those who never appeared - The Beatles, The Kinks
