drink driving mum-of-three lost control of her car and ploughed into a field before colliding with a tree. Ilze Podniece was behind the wheel of her Honda Jazz when she failed to negotiate a corner and hurtled off the road.
The 55-year-old, who worked as a vet in her native Latvia, wasn’t injured in the smash in East Lothian. Podniece appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday and pled guilty to drink driving.
