Drivers have been warned of a major road closure in Trafford set to last six weeks.
Gas company Cadent will partially close Ashburton Road West, at the Junction of Taylor Road, from April 22. This means there will be delays and changes in traffic flow.
Staff have warned motorists about a diversion in place on the street while the works take place.

Kevin Flynn, senior Cadent engineer, said: “This is essential work, to remove an old section of metallic gas main. It ensures the gas network can safely transport gas to the local area for many years to come.
"With many businesses and industrial sites reliant on gas to operate what they do, that’s why this is critical engineering. We’ll have teams visiting the businesses in the area to explain the diversion and the temporary traffic arrangements.
"We’ve worked closely with Trafford Council to agree a plan that mainly involves a short diversion route.”
For around six weeks, which will start on the 22nd April, it will require some temporary traffic arrangements to enable the safe flow of vehicles around the work area.
For the drivers this means there will be no left turns from Taylor Road on to Ashburton Road West and no turning off the Ellesmere Circle roundabout onto Ashburton Road West, a short diversion will be sign posted.
Although it is close to the Trafford centre, there should be no major disruption for visitors.
The impact is more for likely to be felt by the industrial park, which is receiving visits from Cadent teams and letters to explain.
