Police, paramedics and fire crews all attended the scene close to the AJ Bell Stadium and Barton Airport around 6:30pm on Thursday evening. Officers from Greater Manchester Police's (GMP) traffic unit posted a picture of the badly damaged car nestled in bushes at the side of the road following the smash, which involved just the one vehicle.
