A bustling brood. Former president Donald Trump has a large family tree, with numerous siblings, wives, children and grandchildren.
The real estate mogul was born to the late Fred and Mary Trump on June 14, 1946 in Queens, New York City. His father was born in the Bronx to German immigrants while his mother immigrated to America from Scotland in 1930. Donald was the fourth of five children: Maryanne Trump Barry, Fred Jr., who died at age 42, Elizabeth Trump Grau and a younger brother, Robert, who died at age 71. Like his fourth son, Fred Sr. was a real estate mogul prior to his June 1999 death at age 93.
The 45th POTUS wasn’t the only Trump family member who forayed into politics. His eldest sister, Maryanne, was a senior judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit before her retirement in February 2019. President Bill Clinton nominated Maryanne, a Republican, in June 1999. Five years later, Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor presented the judge with a Seton Hall University School of Law award given to women who excel in public service.
The former Apprentice star also has a big family of his own. He first married the Czech-American model Ivana Zelníčková in April 1977 and they welcomed three children, Donald Jr. (born 1977), Ivanka (born 1981) and Eric (born 1984). Before the couple’s 1992 divorce, the former model became a fixture in NYC’s social scene and worked as an interior design consultant for her husband’s company. She later married Riccardo Mazzucchelli and Rossano Rubicondi, but both of those unions also ended in divorce. Ivana passed away at age 73 in July 2022.
