When it was announced that Paul Dano was going to play The Riddler in “The Batman,” fans were surprised but excited. Dano doesn’t strike people as the type of actor who would go for a big franchise superhero film, but when you see him, you can fully understand why he was chosen for the role.

Angelique Jackson If it seems like Jonathan Majors is everywhere lately, that’s because he has been. Michael B. Jordan shared the first official look of Majors as boxer Damian “Dame” Anderson in “Creed III” on Monday morning, but Variety caught up with the actor over the weekend at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Gala and the Newport Beach Film Festival honors. When the topic of his whirlwind few months came up, Majors summed it up simply: “It’s just the season,” he told Variety’s Angelique Jackson at Newport Beach on Sunday. Academy Award and Golden Globe-nominated actress Adriana Barraza (“Blue Beetle”) has joined Jean Reno in the family film “The Penguin and the Fisherman,” TheWrap has exclusively learned.“The Penguin and the Fisherman,” directed by David Schurmann, and co-written by Kristen Lazarain & Paulina Lagudi Ulrich and cinematography by Anthony Dod Mantle (“Slumdog Millionaire,” “127 Hours”) is based on the incredible true story of Joao Perei de Souza (Jean Reno), a Brazilian fisherman, who rescues a penguin (DinDim) covered in oil, near death, and far from his Patagonian home; washed up on a remote island beach off of Brazil. After DinDim returns to the wild, Joao is heartbroken…until a year later when DinDim returns.

Country Thunder Arizona 2023 has announced Luke Bryan, Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi and Dierks Bentley as the headliners of the music festival.  Others who will be taking the stage include Ashley McBryde, Parker McCollum, Kip Moore, Parmalee, Lonestar, Tracy Byrd, Nate Smith, Randall King, Shane Profitt, Hailey Whitters and The Reklaws. More acts will later be announced.  Country Thunder takes place from April 13 to April 16 at Canyon Moon Ranch in Florence, Arizona.  Luke Bryan is one of the performers who will be heading Country Thunder Arizonia 2023.

Married At First Sight’s Thomas Hartley has given an update on his situation and revealed he’s not on very good terms with husband Adrian Sanderson. The pair have had an undeniably explosive season of the hit E4 show and, while many MAFs fans were rooting for them, they went on to call time on their relationship just before the show’s infamous final vows. Now, in a new update ahead of the show’s finale tonight, Thursday 13 October, Thomas has told fans that he’s not on very good terms with Adrian at the moment.

Married At First Sight UK fans have been left in bits after Thomas Hartley and Adrian Sanderson called it quits before their final vows.Tuesday night's episode saw the couples have their final dinner party of the series but after watching the other happy couples, Thomas made an emotional announcement. He said to camera: "Looking around the table I'm seeing how happy everyone is and I just don't feel like that. I need to talk to Adrian." He then asked to speak to his husband outside, and the pair emotionally agreed to part ways.

Nick Vivarelli International Correspondent Rome’s innovative MIA market dedicated to international TV series, feature films, and documentaries kicks off its eighth edition Tuesday, headed by new chief Gaia Tridente, who has added an animation section and been busy raising the curated mart’s international profile. The Oct. 11-15 MIA mart – its acronym stands for the Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo or International Audiovisual Market – this year is positioned prior to the Mipcom content market and conference that runs Oct. 17-20 in Cannes, since Mipcom has shifted its dates back.  But this non-voluntary repositioning has not impacted the number of registered MIA attendees, which is up more than 12% compared with past editions. More than 900 international industry execs are registered for the boutique event being held in central Rome’s Palazzo Barberini, which is Italy’s National Ancient Art gallery that during MIA doubles as the market’s hub where company stands are set up amid Renaissance and Baroque masterpieces. Screenings are held in a nearby state-of-the-art multiplex.

Darren Criss watched his friend and former "Glee" co-star sing "Don't Rain on My Parade," this time not as Rachel Berry, but as Fanny Brice.  In the hit Fox show, Michele played Berry, who was an aspiring Broadway performer. Married At First Sight UK may ultimately be about romance and all things love, but that doesn’t mean that the show is without its dramatic moments. From explosive dinner parties rows to surprise new couples to individuals reentering the social experiment with a brand new partner, this series of MAFSUK has brought viewers plenty of entertainment.
