Oscar-nominated star Margot Robbie won over the audience in 2016's Suicide Squad as Harley Quinn. However, she couldn't lure in moviegoers to buy a ticket to Birds of Prey. The Oscar-nominated actress reprised the DC character for the second time in DCEU and audiences did not seem interested in watching Harley Quinn back in action. Birds of Prey minted $33 million in North America, which is one of the worst openings a DC movie has ever seen in the US.

After the commercial successes of “Wonder Woman,” “Aquaman” and “Joker,” Warner Bros. had been on a hot streak with its DC Universe. Its latest comic-book offering, “Birds of Prey,” seemed to have all the ingredients necessary to continue that trend in the studio’s attempt to fashion an alternative to Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Warner Bros.’ comic-book adaptation “Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)” got off to a soft start at the international box office, generating $48 million when it debuted in 78 foreign markets.

“Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)” flew much lower than expected in its debut, collecting just $33.25 million from 4,236 U.S. theaters.

“Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)” is nothing if not a thrilling ride. Newly single after The Joker dumped her, Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) sets out on her own to find a new identity, rather than   forever be seen as someone’s girlfriend.

When you’re a production designer, and your mood board is the mental state of the film’s lead character, it seems like the creative world is your oyster. When the lead character is Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, that’s a creative world where all bets are off.

It had been a great January for international movie lovers in India. Several movies released this month.

Between Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker hitting the big screens in December and Margot Robbie starrer Bird of Prey releasing in February, fans were desperately hoping to see the two iconic anti-heroes, Joker and Harley Quinn, together. Considering the two share an epic romance in the DC comic books, the fans wanted to see the two characters sharing the same screen space in Robbie’s upcoming film.

In a little over a week, we will get to finally see Margot Robbie spread her magic on the big screens as Harley Quinn, a character that can only be described as one of the coolest anti-heroes of the comic book world. The Suicide Squad spin-off, Birds Of Prey, is scheduled to hit the theatres on February 7 and the fans can hardly keep calm.
